Nos bureaux marketing 3D sont situés à Paris, et nous avons 2 sites de production sont en province
En 2021, une usine d’impression 3D permettra de produire les pièces aux formes innovantes 30% plus légères avec l’aide de notre R&D
La phase 2 du projet 3DM doit permettre de traiter les demande d’impressions 3D internes mais ambitionne d’ouvrir le services d’impressions au industriels locaux
La demande d’impression 3D s’appuye sur une équipe de « préparation à la production » et consiste en une etude de positionnement des modèles 3D  à imprimer.
Le point critique de compétences est la mise en plateau se qui implique de formuler des contraintes d’industrialisation
Le concepteur mécanique 3D soit prendre en considération ces contraintes émises par la préparation de production durant le processus de préparation à la production
Les contraintes sont nécessairement retraduites dans les fichiers 3D, au format natif , car nous avons des solutions PTC et , Il y a une chaine outillé pour générer les .slt que je ne connais pas précisément et qui permet de simuler le processus d’impression avant d’être envoyer dans imprimantes 3D
Le procédé d’impression laser metal (SLM) est très long , 5 – 25 heures , genere une quantité importante de données afin d’identifier les défaillances car nous ne le maitrisons pas encore (conditions interne ex , gaz , humidité température) et alimente un lac de données
La mise au point du procédé est encore fait chez le fabriquant des machines 3D, l’usine n’est pas prête, un facteur critique est d’être dans une zone où les lignes électriques sont stables , puissantes et opérationnelles ( un aéroport par exemple)
A terme nous imaginons , automatiser ce service via un portail client, qui alimenterait notre plan de production et au travers de séquencement de taches déclenchent les ordres de fabrications et les facturations associées

NTM#2 : Bunch Views for ICT Plan (with BNC0, BNC1 and IBS1 description)

After some exchanges with the ICT Director and Digital Transformation project leader, I've undertake the mission to report the vision of ICT across the planned bunches and theirs associated configurations to deploy ( i.e  the targeted "AsPlanned" Nodes ).


Such model is a starting point to realize a full multi layer models of Enterprise Architecture all along its transformation program, but why this model is required ? 


  • European Administration  is going to fund the new plant , and  wants an the specifications of this future architecture enterprise against the different program stage, (also, this would be imposed by another regulation authority in case of medicines or food production, or by a department of defense with weapons or strategic equipment production. 
  • By realizing such model, we will also link and control execution process with the macro project plant. In the following figure (BNC0), i present the IS transformation program (pink concept) and packages and its deliverables referenced to illustrate the link with architecture plateaus ( BNC1,2 and 3),

[I've linked the deliverables to the planning task, leading to the bunch deployment. A bunch will probably have one or more realizations represented with logical node (high level node almost invariant). These logical nodes are named with "ASx" (x stands for today or planned configurations). They are representing ICT configurations at a effective date. Usually node concept in archimate are tightly connected to physical items composing it, this will be part of a IBS1 and IBS2 views where the logical node is exploded down to their physical node and equipments configured.   
 One remarks about using Specialization link and not a triggering?  I consider the plateaus, or its nodes, are changing all along the time but improving one to another and creating dependency with his original one, more in line with the specialization concept definition. Below, "BNC2 1990"  node is an adaptation of "BNC1 1989" ( so BNC3 against BNC2)]

For the farest nodes "BNC1991", they haven't yet any detailed content, rather than today node "tagged ASIS 89W10" which have a clear content definition in IBS views.

[Let's describe the "AsIs FR89W06" to see how this node is physical deployed in the IBS1 view, the following figure presents the deployed configuration of the ICT equipment in the company in France, and reports the equipment configured to be deployed, of course this is the plan and may diverge from reality.
From the reality the flow back in the model is used to report all operational changes on equipment, material  and ICT devices, and these changes are tracked in the Enterprise Asset Management, or ICT Management tools while the impact analysis should be this enterprise architecture model].

Vision ICT 1995 : Macro Plan : business services to deploy, goals to adress

We have drafted the ICT plan to operate the vision of the next industrial, development and commercial network that was presented a month ago.

The following strategy will be applied , and confirmed within 89W10 end of February, we must secure not only hardware items and software apps but mainly the business continuity while the company is transform itself. Then bunches (HW, SW and process description) will be delivered altogether to the business process owners and respective departments, with acces capabilities to involved partners. 

Hence, each bunch will be defined, tested and installed before going live to target, and with configuration to deploy, the achievement of the enterprise goals




  • Bunch 1 - Connect French & Italian companies of the group to support the co-design of this new product line 
  • Bunch 2 - Extension to Switzerland sites : Allow the Co-design transfer and Industrialization to the new center of production 
  • Bunch 3 - "One Program" development to ensure a distributed capabilities within the group  
  • Bunch 4 - "Distributed Production" environment to business opportunities with Extended Enterprise and digital access to selling networks

PS : By the way i'm looking for someone to draw that transformation story with more graphical concept, the existing limitation of the e-paper, doesn't allow us to produce or exchange graphs, drawings, or pictures easily. 



So, a Enterprise Artist with "ASCII Art" capabilities will be necessary to report this transformation journey with associated ASCII drawings on demand.

NTM#1 : Understand how the 2 companies will merge their respective organizations (functions) in one

After a short web sites lecture of both IMYOURMATE and MAGNETIC, I've figure out how they will participate each others in the new compagny.

[I've highlighted, via the assignment relationship, the responsibility for each company (with actor concept) 
on each function in the merged organization.
I should have use Influence relationship instead for more accuracy.  
Nota : Some concepts in the following view are bleached to give more context to the view exposed, 
and colored items are core elements of the view].



This late example of enterprise description provides a global overview of a merging. This is a good start to run a first thought  and search after for new or transformed services (with BNC2 view, the enterprise services is the corner stone) or to identify enterprise values and capabilities in A view).  So this EFS1 with EBS1 are good enought to run a first open discussion in a workshop.

At this stage, the answer should be given by the Digital Transformation Director , when thinking about the goals to achieve for the new company : 

  • How the existing production capabilities will be reorganized ?
  • Will MAGNETIC s.r.l rely on french production for the new product line?  
  • Where will be the MARKETING department for the new product line strategy definition. 
  • R&D why? isn't too much?  they have INDUSTRIALIZE , ADAPT. Is there any need in production innovation with 3D printing capabilities to develop?  
By understanding their technology , and some reading of their industrial papers and supplier network, I've been able to draft a first view (EBS1), one for 1989 Enterprise Breakdown Systems and another where i foresee the 1991,1992 configurations .

"Pen IoT", the invented success story of a pen against the keyboard economy by IMYOURMATE


Welcome in an architecture story where a PLM expert uses Enterprise Architecture approach its representation languages to illustrate the story of a very small company located in France, named IMYOURMATE, and producing wood pens since 1900.


"I", the narrator , and writer of this blog, by the way a the cookbook will follow later in 2022 (the real 2022!), and all along my fantasy, I will produce the necessary deliverable (architecture viewpoints and architecture view) to report the epic of this fictional enterprise transformation. 
So, I will interact with my characters to catch theirs vision and report what is the expected architecture model of the merged company. And all along that I will name some people or company providing real expertize in gamification and organization transformation, if not cyber-security and white hacking.

In my fiction, timetable is changed, and they are back in 1989, all things are slightly different, but pen producers and writing arts are challenged by the k-economy, and it started this way in another 1989.

IYMR (stands for IMYOURMATE company name at CAC400000 market), or named she, is a small French enterprise with less than 50 employees to run pens production, She need to adopt a more agile and modern business model or disappear shortly. 


What are the facts: 
a new CEO, named PAS, is named today , PAS is also owning the company, MAGNETIC S.r.l, located in Venaria close to Torino - Italy, where they make interesting innovations and they are producing luxury and exclusive pens. 

So, as a new CEO, the key message is about the transformation to come for all employees.

"Since the collapse of the resources for the paper industry in 1969, we are at the sunrise of a new area for the writing economy, now, with the e-paper powder stabilization acheived in our innovation lab in Bern, we are back in business.  
Then, the only challenge for both of us, is the ideation and design of a new product line, relying on the French capabilities and experiences of wood pen production ; and combined with the Italian innovative mass customization of pens, we will reinvent the writing device to support the best of information technologies and compete with the keyboard majors companies in data production industry (i.e the K-economy)"
Our goal is 3 years from now, but I foresee that we will have our customer able to 3D print our pen model in qualified local farm-lab all over the world. 
All that must happen with the mindset of the circular economy and resources management, in the final vision of giving information production capabilities to all since the paper in now back in business".

send him an introduction mail about the challenges I see, he should be attentive to my arguments as far as I've done similar stuffs in Electronic Computer Unit domain and Laser Metal printing industry.

PS : I own you some explains about the little changes I've introduce in technology and economic history in that blog: 

  • Paper: In 1969, the wood and forest resources were dedicated only to the cleansing the planet atmosphere and cannot be used anymore in any economy. in 1980 they where replaced by e-paper
  • Pen: since 1969, Pen became a pointless item progressively and was replaced by keyboard and e-paper, but authentic writers still used it on brown paper roll and their books are handwritten and often boycotted by the k-economy companies.   
  • K-economy: since 1969, keyboard is the only mean to create digital content it is convenient for mass production of data, k-economy refers to the economy of the knowledge controlled by is major company controlling the data production. 
  • e-paper : by recycling all the electric, computing and digital items, it results in a digital powder to be printed on dead wood support; resulting in an endless recyclable product, looking as a thick paper sheet with electronic, digital, software capabilities. The only limitation: it is compatible only with anagraphic data produced or controlled by the k-economy companies.       
  • Keyboard companies: this device manufacturing industry is leading the global economy (the k-economy) as they are the only one able to produce information, but keyboard requires a huge infrastructure and investment, and is done by major company. One keyboard is given to one people at a time with its authentication card.  
  • Disper: (contraction of display and paper ) or e-paper sheet, replacing all paper sheets since 1980 , editable content is allowed only by certified Keyboards
  • Displication: electronic duplication of an Disper (data copying process to be explained later), allowing data unplugged to the network to be accessible to other e-paper owner
  • ... and forget about Mouse, Screen: they were invented later or in another 1989.
